Equipped for cruising and racing: Pro-furl roller furling; 4 self tailing Harken winches; 5 Sobstad sails---main, jib, spinnaker, #1 genoa (151%), #2 genoa (130%); full symmetrical spinnaker; whisker pole.This boat has been set up for racing and includes high tech sails including a high roach mainsail. Genoa tracks on the the side decks with a lead changing system, and lazy jacks that convert quickly to running backstays, completes the package. The Freedom 40/40 rig was designed for the shorthanded sailing couple or singlehander who is looking for manageable yet powerful performance. All sail controls are lead to the cockpit including the single-line reefing system, vang lines, jib and main sheets, halyards, and traveler control lines. There is an electric winch to starboard in the cockpit which can handle all the functions.

The bridge has L-shaped seating in front of helm station plus additional guest seating to port. At the helm are two new high gloss teak Nautical Designs helm chairs, and all electronics is sensibly laid out in plain view and easy to hand, with redundant systems provided for GPS, depth, speed and VHF communications.
